Public Art Project Assistant
Reports To: Executive Director
Work Schedule: This is a volunteer position with flexibility, 5-10 hrs. a week.
Emory Presbyterian Church, Druid Hills High School, and Twin Radius have partnered to transform the western wall of Emory Presbyterian Church’s education building. The project is a community-inspired public art initiative that will create a meaningful, aesthetically imaginative, high quality mural that celebrates the diversity of Druid Hills High School.
In January 2018, we will begin the artist selection process. Twin Radius has a unique opportunity available for a dynamic individual interested in serving as the Project Assistant. This opportunity is well suited for an individual with a passion for public art, muralism, community engagement, and working with students. As the Project Assistant, you will provide the Project Manager with support in key areas including administration, marketing, operations, and various facets of a public art (mural) project.
Direct assistance to the Executive Manager
General administrative and project support with event coordination, scheduling, research and data entry
Drafting promo copy and graphic design
Social media marketing and promotion
Other duties as requested
Minimum 1 year of administrative / professional experience
Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills and experience in handling multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner, preferably within the public art realm (though not necessary)
Graphic design and social media marketing
Proficiency with internet search engines, MailChimp, spreadsheets and word processing applications including MS Office and Google Docs
Organizational and time management skills; someone who is action oriented and likes delivering results
